ASK Industries, an Italian leader in automotive audio systems, has inaugurated its first plant in Mexico with a US$33 million investment. Located in the Vie Verte Industrial Park in Hermosillo, the facility is expected to generate between 1,200 and 1,500 direct jobs by 2027.
Supporting Sonora’s Growth
Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño emphasized that the arrival of global companies like ASK strengthens the state’s economy and creates new opportunities for Sonoran families. He highlighted that this investment is aligned with the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan, which aims to attract international investment in strategic sectors such as semiconductors and advanced manufacturing.
“The Sonora Plan is an industrial policy designed to leverage our natural resources to drive the energy transition, especially through the generation of electricity from our state’s solar intensity,” said the governor.
Innovation and Global Presence
ASK Industries has more than 40 years of experience and employs over 4,900 people worldwide. The new Hermosillo plant covers 9,700 square meters and will focus on producing advanced audio and connectivity solutions for the automotive industry, including speakers, amplifiers, antennas, and automation cables.
With this facility, ASK Industries expands its footprint in the Americas, consolidating Hermosillo as a hub for high-value manufacturing and global innovation.
